This is the 27th Annual Member-Member Golf Tournament.  The two-day event is a men's and women's "2-person Best Ball".  Flights are determined prior to play with the top 3 places being paid for both gross and net team scores.  There are 3 major flights; the Arnold Palmer Flight (formerly gold tee), Nancy Lopez Flight (women) and the Jack Nicklaus Flight (men).  The two-day overall Member-Member Champions will come from the net scores in the Nancy Lopez Flight for the ladies and the Jack Nicklaus Flight for the men.

This year's field is limited to the first 368 players. 
 
**Note from the committee:  The Member-Member committee has decided to clarify how handicaps are used to flight players and to make the playing field as level as possible.  Glade Director of Golf Operations, Steve Kraft and his group of PGA Professionals are responsible for flighting players by handicap.  The Member-Member committee is responsible for providing these verifiable handicaps.  We use the GHIN system as the primary source for handicaps.  If you are in the GHIN you must have at least 5 valid scores within the current year of the tournament.  If you are not in the GHIN system you will need to provide a verifiable handicap from a USGA approved handicap system.  If you do not have a valid handicap then you will be considered to be a scratch golfer with a 0 handicap.  Please understand that we are attempting to create a level playing field for all players.  The Member-member committee will review all handicaps in early June and we will be using the GHIN handicaps computed by the system as of August 1, 2011.  You are more than welcome to check with Steve Kraft or any of our golf professionals to determine if the handicap you are submitting with your application is valid and will be used for the tournament.  Questions concerning the handicap requirements can be addressed to Mike Stotz, Chairman, Member-Member committee at 707-0995.

The golf balls are the Noodle Plus Long and Straight and have the Fairfield Glade Member-Member Golf Tournament 2011 imprinted on the ball.

The shirts are the same Divots brand sold at our Druid Hills Pro Shop.  The fit between sleeve and sleeveless for the ladies varies, so we suggest you try one on before selecting your size.

  Saturday, August 13 -- First Round Play Heatherhurst Golf Club
  Sunday, August 14 -- Final Round Play Heatherhurst Golf Club
   
Format:
  • 2-Person Best Ball over 36 holes of play
  • Winners in each flight for net score and gross score - top 3 places
  • Nancy Lopez Flight (ladies)
  • Jack Nicklaus Flight (men)
  • Arnold Palmer Flight (gold tee men players)
  • Overall winners are determined by the 36 hole net score from the Nancy Lopez Flight for the ladies and the Jack Nicklaus Flight for the men.
   
Entry Fee:
  • $95.00 per player -- $190.00 per team
  • Includes players reception, two days of golf with cart, range balls, two continental breakfast, two lunches, prize fund and a tee gift.
